• Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The signs of a hypocrite are three: whenever he speaks, he tells a lie, whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise ) and if you trust him, he proves to be dishonest. (If you keep something as a trust with him, he will not return it.)”
Hypocrisy is of two types: hypocrisy of belief that deviates the person from faith, which is displaying Islam and concealing disbelief, and practical hypocrisy, which is imitating hypocrites in their morals. This does not derail the person from faith, but it is a major sin. In this hadith, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, explained practical hypocrisy, In it, he mentioned the distinguishing signs of him, and said: The signs of a hypocrite are three, that is: one of the signs of practical hypocrisy that indicates that this person resembles hypocrites in their actions and morals is that these three qualities or some of them are present in a person; The first sign: If he tells a lie, This is because that person is known for lying in hadith. The second sign: If he makes a promise, he breaks it, and that is by being known for breaking the promise, such that if he promised something, he deliberately broke it. The third sign: If he is trusted, he betrays his trust, and that is because he becomes known for his betrayal among the people. These things mentioned go back to one origin; It is hypocrisy that is distinguished by honesty, contrasted by loyalty, and contradicted by honesty. What is meant by the hadith is that these characteristics are characteristics of hypocrisy, and the person who possesses them is similar to the hypocrites in these characteristics, and is similar to their morals, not that he is a hypocrite who shows Islam while concealing disbelief, and the Prophet did not mean May God bless him and grant him peace A hypocrite, the hypocrisy of the infidels who will live forever in the lowest level of Hell. And in the hadith: A warning about the reprehensible characteristics of hypocrisy to intimidate and warn against falling into it.
• The Prophet (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever neglects the Friday prayer three times (continuously) without an excuse, then Allah sets a seal upon his heart.”
Friday prayers have a great value in Sharia. God Almighty has pointed out in his book the importance of Friday prayer and its sermon (Khutbah), and striving for it and leaving everything that distracts from it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, rebuked and described the punishment of those who continue to abandon it. …And in this hadith, the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, says: “Whoever neglects Friday prayer three times,” that is: does not pray it for three weeks, then it is once a day of the week, “negligent about it,” that is: underestimating its importance and not paying attention to it. And he left it out of laziness without an excuse that made it permissible for him to leave it, such as illness and the like. “God placed a seal on his heart,” meaning: He closed the doors of goodness on him, so he was made like the heart of a hypocrite, and it was said: His heart will become the heart of a hypocrite. …And in the hadith: A severe rebuke for abandoning Friday prayer without an excuse.
