08/16/2024 – How to Be Loved by Allah Almighty

Who among us does not want to be loved by Allah?!

If Allah loves you, He will subject the heavens and the earth to you, and if God loves a servant, He will relieve him, make his life good, and make his heart happy.

A man came to the Prophet, ﷺ , asking him this question: Which people are most beloved to God? Which deeds are most beloved to God? He, ﷺ, said: “The people most beloved to God are the most beneficial to people.”

Oh, human, be useful to people, and you will be the most beloved of people to God! If God loves you, He will open the treasures of provision for you.

Then comes the second question: Which deeds do God love most? He, ﷺ, said: “The most beloved of deeds to God Almighty is that which they bring happiness to a Muslim, or relieve him of distress, or pay off a debt from him, or ward off hunger from him, or not It is more beloved to me to walk with a brother in a need than to seclude myself in this mosque – meaning: the mosque of the Madina.

  • The first command: “Pleasure that you bring to a Muslim”: Bring joy to people, make their hearts happy, draw a smile on their faces, and do not forget that the people most worthy of bringing happiness to them are the people closest to you, your wife, your children, your relatives, your neighbors. The best of people are the best to their families.
  • The second command: “Or remove his distress”: relieve people’s distress, be a succor to the one who calls for help, a guide to the one seeking guidance, gently stop the tears of the saddened, alleviate the distressed distress with love, and congratulations to you by the limitless grace of your Lord, about whom the Messenger of God,ﷺ, told: “Whoever He relieved a Muslim of distress, and God will relieve him of distress on the Day of Resurrection.”
  • The third command: “Or pay off a debt on his behalf”: See the insolvent person, give him respite, or pay off his debt, or pay off a debt on his behalf and leave him an inheritance, night and day; He,ﷺ , says: “Whoever sees a distressed person or provides relief for him, God will shade him on the Day of Resurrection under the shade of His Throne on the Day when there will be no shade except His shade.” How great is the generosity of the Generous One, Glory be to Him! If he gives, he will be amazed by his giving!
  • The fourth matter: Feeding the hungry, as he, ﷺ, said: “Or drive away hunger.” So, O Generous One, check on your neighbors and relatives and do not let any of them spend the night hungry and in need if you can do that, and congratulations to you on the path of the blessed people of Paradise, who are mentioned in the Book of the Lord of the Worlds.
    • God Almighty says:
{And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive •We feed you only [saying] for the countenance of Allah. We wish not from you reward or gratitude}.
    • And he, ﷺ, says: “Feed food, maintain family ties, and pray at night while people are asleep; You will enter Paradise in peace.”
    • Imam Ali Zain al-Abidin, son of Imam Hussein, may God be pleased with him, used to carry food at night on his back, and deliver it to the homes of widows and poor people in the Madina (it was said that they were hundred families), and they did not know who placed it. It remained like this for ten years, and the poor and widows did not know who brought this food.. The poor and widows woke up one day and did not find the food that was coming to them, and when the news came that Ali Zain Al-Abidin had died, they knew then that it was he who was bringing the food to them. While they were doing Ghosl for him, they found traces on his shoulder like a canal, so they knew that this was due to the rope with which he was carrying food.
  • The fifth matter: to go about what people need, as the Prophet, ﷺ, said: “And to walk with a brother in need of need is more beloved to me than to seclude myself in this mosque – meaning: the mosque of the city.” Consider how the reward for meeting people’s needs is better It is better than seclusion, prayer and standing In the Khair Al-Anam Mosque, ﷺ.

And know, dear listener, that if you draw closer to God Almighty by doing the deeds most beloved to Him; He gave you relief and a light to walk among the people, and He made you blessed wherever you are.

Oh God, make us the keys to good and the locks to evil, and honor us, O Most Generous.
